An email was sent out to you from the Association of Yale Alumni (AYA) in early May about establishing a Yale AYA email address, which will continue as your lifetime Yale email address, and can be pointed to your work email address or some other account. Your Net ID and password will continue to function for the SOM OAD. If you have questions, please email yalesom@som.yale.edu.

Yale University Online Alumni Directory (AYA)
The Yale University Online Alumni Directory (AYA) contains degree and contact information for alumni from all schools at Yale University. Please note this is a different system run by Yale University. Information regarding the AYA directory was sent in an email to all Class of 2007 students. 3. 7-10 days before you move, file a Change of Address form with the U.S. Postal Service to have your mail re-directed to your new address. Forms are available in the Hub, at any Post Office, and online at http://www.usps.com/ .

HEALTH INSURANCE
Yale Health Plan primary care and YHP specialty/hospitalization insurance coverage continue through August 31, 2006; the coverage was included in your spring semester health fee. Available at the front desk of the Health Plan are "alternate coversheets", which are short-term health insurance options.

Below are some general suggestions and guidelines if you need health insurance past August 31.

Kiplinger.com has a comprehensive article, Buying Your Own Health Insurance. It has tips on who could help you (health-insurance broker), web resources (quotes), and alternatives to buying a policy on your own.

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield provides coverage in nine states, and offers rate quotes for individual health coverage.

As it's always a good idea to shop around, eHealthInsurance provides you with a way to get quotes, compare plans, and apply online.

As insurance varies greatly from state to state, HealthInsuranceInfo.net is a good resource to help understand insurance coverage in your particular state.
