The Max Planck Institute for Research into Economic Systems invites highly qualified and motivated applicants for several pre- and post-doctoral positions of its Strategic Interaction Group (director Prof. Dr. Werner Güth).

The group's research program emphasizes game theory, experimental economics, and interdisciplinary research. Special topics are bounded rationality, adaptive processes, and the relevance of social norms and psychological factors for shaping interactive behavior.

Successful candidates should be able to collaborate in a multidisciplinary research group and to demonstrate their ability to integrate theoretical concepts with rigorous experimental work.

Applicants with solid background in microeconomics, economic psychology and/or mathematics and statistics are encouraged to send their CV, together with 2 reference letters and a short exposition of motives to:
