MessageFrom: Economic Science Association [ESA@LISTSERV.ARIZONA.EDU] on behalf of Bart J Wilson [bwilson3@GMU.EDU] Sent: Friday, January 28, 2005 8:07 AM To: ESA@LISTSERV.ARIZONA.EDU Subject: [ESA] Summer Workshops in Experimental Economics Dear Colleagues, This summer the International Foundation for Research in Experimental Economics (IFREE) will sponsor two workshops in experimental economics at the Interdisciplinary Center for Economic Science (ICES) at George Mason University. The Eleventh Visiting Graduate Student Workshop in Experimental Economics will be held from August 3 - August 9, 2005. The purpose of the workshop is to provide an introduction to laboratory methods in economics for PhD students. Application procedures and a tentative program can be found at: http://ices.gmu.edu/subcategory.php/106.html. All applications received by March 15, 2005 will be considered. After that, applications will be considered as space allows. IFREE will also sponsor its first Undergraduate Workshop in Experimental Economics at the Arlington campus of GMU near Washington, DC. This introduction to experimental economics is open to current undergraduates of all majors and will run from June 29 - July 3, 2005. The workshop is free to all participants, but students must provide their own transportation to and from the workshop. Local housing arrangements and nearly all meals are covered by a generous grant from IFREE. Each day students will participate in an experiment for cash followed by a presentation from one of the workshop faculty. Information and application procedures can be found at: http://ices.gmu.edu/subcategory.php/116.html. All applications received by April 1, 2005 will be considered. After that, applications will be considered as space allows. Please forward this message to any interested faculty or students, and thanks for your interest.
