Teaching Assistants must register
for payment for each class in which they are working using the registration form below. This form will
also allow you to verify the classes that you have already registered
for. Please also note the following information:
- An e-mail message is automatically sent to the faculty
member(s) to verify your work in her/his class. Once the Business
Office receives your registration and the faculty member approval,
we will submit your paperwork to Payroll for payment. You will
receive a confirmation e-mail with the details of your payment
once all of the paperwork is processed.
- TAs are paid on the semi-monthly payroll; payments
are issued on 15th and last working day of every month.
- Forms are not submitted for payment until after
the add/drop period. Therefore the first TA paycheck will not
be issued until the 30th of September or the 15th of February.
- TAs are expected to work ten hours per week.
- Submission of a weekly time sheet is not required.
Instead, TAs are paid a lump sum spread over the duration of the
course.
- TA salaries are determined by Stan Garstka. Please
see his memo
to SOM Faculty for an explanation of the pay structure.
- If you also work as an hourly employee, these wages
will be included in your semi-monthly paycheck.
Note: If you have not been paid previously by Yale University, you must
complete the forms below. If you have been paid before, but would
like to change your tax deductions, please complete the W-4 and CT-W4
forms. Bring your completed forms (except the
I-9, which must be completed in person) to the Business Office along
with appropriate documentation for the I-9 Form.
