The M&P Performance Review Process occurs annually in April. We view
the process as a partnership. Two appraisal tools based on the SOM
critical success factors are used in the process. The first, the self-assessment
form, is completed by all M&P staff members and submitted to their
supervisors in advance of the scheduled performance meeting. The purpose
of this self-assessment form is to enable the staff member to communicate
her/his assessment of her/his performance during the past year with
respect to meeting performance and objectives. The M&P staff supervisor
uses the information in the self-assessment to complete the second
tool, the performance appraisal review form. The results of the performance
appraisal are shared with the staff member at a meeting with the supervisor
and provide the basis for setting goals and objectives for the coming
year.
