Overview of Services

SOM Facilities and Mail Services are located at “the HUB”, Founders Hall, 135 Prospect St., just behind Food for Thought. The service window is open from 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM Monday through Friday during the academic year.

Building Emergencies – Call 432-6000 during working hours; call 432-6888 after hours and on weekends to report any problem that requires immediate attention, such as overflows, major leaks, loss of power, trip hazards, slippery walks, lock-outs, security problems, etc.

Please submit all requests for routine building repair and other services to the SOM Facilities section of the online Service Center. Logon to mySOM and Select “Service Center” on the left banner. Click on SOM Facilities and create your request.

Routine Building Repair and Maintenance
Heating or cooling, grounds, leaking or clogged drains, trash removal, office painting, hanging wall mounted items, exterminator.

Meetings and Events
Custodial Service requests, after hours building access, equipment or media requests, catering schedule, tent and other rental equipment, branded items/SOMgear.

Telecommunications
New and upgraded desk phones, cell phones, PDAs, iPhones, air cards, fax lines, office phone moves, Ethernet jacks.

Access and Security Service
After hours building access, ID card access authorization, door key, office alarm authorization, Vantage lock authorization.

Moving, Furniture and Remodeling
Moving of boxes, desk, equipment; Ordering new or used furniture, task chairs, desk chairs, desks, tables, file cabinets, storage cabinets; major remodeling projects requiring contractor bids.
